The annual Agasthyarkoodam trekking 2022 season will be held from January 18 to February 26 of the year. The number of online bookings per day has been restricted to 75 persons. A maximum of 25 offline bookings, including cancellations, if any, in online registration, will be allowed.

Some Details of Agasthyarkoodam Treking 2022
The trek passes through thick forests, mainly covering highland rainforests, which is most fascinating. For most of the trek, you would encounter lush greenery with some waterfalls and streams adding to your zeal. But trekking in Kerala is not only about wild passes and thick forests. The estimated altitude gained during the course of the trek ranges from about 1000-1300 m.
The course for this excursion is in the Agasthyarkoodam mountain range, which has an average elevation of around 2100 m or 6888 ft.
This mountain range is famous for the Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve is within one of the forests. It falls in the Qazinag mountains. The northern part belongs to Udumbumalai Wildlife Sanctuary and the southern part belongs to Agasthyamala Biosphere Reserve. The Agasthyamala Biosphere Reserve is home to rare species of wild flora and fauna.
The ticket rate is ₹1,580 per head, out of which ₹250 will go towards the ecosystem management fund. Five people can be included in a single ticket. Life insurance or accident insurance coverage is mandatory for participants. But you need to submit details regarding such policies while registering.
